1. Product Description
Product Name / Model | Screen Printing Emulsion Remover Powder |
|---|---|
Product Form | White crystalline powder, easily soluble in clean water |
Packaging | 1KG/bag, 10KG/plastic drum |
Application | Special for screen reclaiming in glass, TP touch panel, PCB circuit board, membrane switch, nameplate, photovoltaic, home appliance glass and other screen‑printing industries. It dissolves and removes cured direct emulsion, capillary film and indirect stencil film for mesh reuse and cost reduction. Not applicable for water‑resistant stencils treated with hardener. |
Features | Powder form for easy storage & transportation; suitable for manual brushing and automatic decoating machines. Fast dissolution to strip emulsion thoroughly. Low corrosion to polyester mesh, stainless steel mesh and aluminum screen frames. Diluted solution can be stored sealed for short‑term use. Haze/ghost image left after decoating needs additional haze remover paste. Do NOT allow working solution to dry on mesh to avoid white salt residue. |
Storage & Shelf‑life | Store sealed at 5‑25℃ in cool dry place; 12‑month shelf‑life at ambient temperature |
2. Operating Instructions
Screen Pre‑treatment: Fully clean ink and block‑out compound from used screen; keep mesh wet. Ink residue will seriously reduce stripping performance.
Prepare working solution: Recommended mixing ratio: 100g powder to 5‑7L clean water. Stir fully until powder dissolves completely. Increase concentration for stubborn old stencils; 2% solution is suggested for automatic decoating machines.
Decoating operation: Apply working solution evenly on both print side and squeegee side with sponge or soft nylon brush, or immerse whole screen into solution. Allow 2‑5 minutes for emulsion to swell and soften. Never let solution dry on screen mesh.
High‑pressure rinsing: Rinse both sides thoroughly with high‑pressure water gun while chemical is still wet to wash away softened emulsion. If ghost/haze remains, apply haze remover paste then rinse completely with clean water.
Dry screen for reuse: Dry screen at 35℃‑40℃, maximum temperature 42℃. Make sure screen is fully dried before next coating operation.
Important note: Confirm no chemical residue after decoating. Residual salt will cause pinholes and poor emulsion coating in follow‑up process.
3. Storage & Safety Precautions
This product is alkaline powder cleaner, water‑soluble and non‑flammable. Dust and diluted solution may irritate skin and eyes.
First‑aid measures:
Inhalation: Avoid dust inhalation. If dust is breathed in, move victim to fresh air; seek medical help if discomfort persists.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly, DO NOT induce vomiting; get medical assistance if feeling unwell.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing, wash affected area with plenty of running soapy water.
Eye contact: Remove contact lenses, flush eyes continuously with plenty of running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek immediate medical care if irritation continues.
