2. Operating Instructions
⚠️ Two‑component requirement: Work under yellow safelight. Dissolve diazo photosensitizer with pure water, mix thoroughly into emulsion base, rest for 30‑45 min for defoaming before coating.
- Mesh Pretreatment Degrease mesh with degreaser. Roughen mesh with abrasive paste for normal jobs; skip roughening for high‑mesh fine stencils.
- Dry screen for use at 35‑40 °C (max.42 °C), ambient humidity 45‑55%.
- Coating & Drying (adjust passes as required) ‑ Ink‑side 2 passes + Print‑side 2 passes; dry 35‑40 °C, humidity 45‑55%, 10 min ‑ Ink‑side 1 pass + Print‑side 3 passes; dry 35‑40 °C, humidity 45‑55%, 10 min ‑ Ink‑side 0 pass + Print‑side 1 pass; dry 35‑40 °C, humidity 45‑55%, 10 min Net dry stencil thickness approx.7‑8 μm. Adjust coating passes for target film‑thickness.
- UV Exposure (iodine‑gallium lamp / mercury lamp) Determine optimal exposure time by exposure step‑wedge film. Insufficient exposure leads to poor water & solvent resistance and short print‑life; over‑exposure reduces resolution. Retest parameters after light‑source replacement. Rest screen for 1‑3 minutes after exposure.
- Development (Wash‑out) Wet both sides of screen with low‑pressure water (soak ≤1‑2 min), wait 1‑2 min. Spray print‑side with fan‑shaped low‑pressure water until image and halftone dots appear clearly.
Focus washing on print‑side. Avoid excessive rinsing on ink‑side to prevent pinholes. Water‑gun distance approx.60 cm from screen. Gently rinse ink‑side for 1‑2 min, wash away emulsion scum on both sides.
- Post‑development drying: 35‑40 °C (max.42 °C), humidity 45‑55%, for 20‑30 min.
- Screen inspection & repair. Secondary post‑exposure is available for longer print‑run.
- Block‑out the screen.
3. Storage, Handling & Safety Notes
Water‑miscible, non‑flammable, low environmental hazard. May cause mild skin irritation; low inhalation risk under normal temperature.
First‑aid measures
‑Inhalation: Low volatility, negligible inhalation hazard. ‑ Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly. Do NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention if discomfort occurs. ‑ Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing, wash skin with soap and running water. ‑ Eye contact: Remove contact lenses. Flush eyes & eyelids with plenty running water for ≥15 minutes, seek medical help if irritation persists.
Personal Protection
Ensure good ventilation; handle under yellow safelight. No eating, drinking or smoking in working area.
Storage
Store at 5‑25 °C, avoid high‑temperature and direct sunlight.
After mixing with photosensitizer, emulsion activity declines. Use within 4‑6 weeks at room temperature; refrigeration can extend usable period.
